Denise Lisa Maria Pearson sometimes credited as Deniece Pearson, is an English singer-songwriter. She was the lead vocalist with the British pop/R&B group Five Star, which comprised herself and her four siblings. The group was created and managed by their father, Buster Pearson, in 1983. The group officially disbanded in 2001, though partial reunions have occurred since.
Five Star scored their first top UK 10 hit with a self-composed song when the Denise-penned ‘Stay Out of My Life’ reached #9 in 1987. She received a Grammy !
Composed the title song to the 1980s youth series “How Dare You”. She had adapted the song from Five Star’s hit “Stay Out of My Life”.
In 1997, she recorded a duet, entitled “This Pain”, with former Bros front man Matt Goss.
Her first solo single “Here I Am” was released exclusively on iTunes in January 2009.
Is back in the UK to perform with Five Star at the ‘Here and Now’ tour. [December 2002]
In 2007 she launched a solo career with her own music.
Pearson toured the UK throughout 2015 with her siblings Stedman, Doris and Delroy performing at 1980s revival gigs.
Pearson appeared as a guest vocalist on the New Year’s Day edition of Top of the Pops in 2016, performing to Sigala’s number one hit “Easy Love”.
Denise has the most fantastic voice which was seen on THE VOICE UK performs “Fighter” to 1.5M views.
