Birmingham born Toyah Wilcox first became well known during the punk rock era, with her appearances in the Derek Jarman 1997 hit film “Jubilee” and 1979’s 'Who' inspired “Quadrophenia”.

Her singing career was slow to take off, releasing six singles in the UK before finally hitting the charts in 1981, with “It's a Mystery”. This was followed by several other huge hits including “Thunder In The Mountains” and “I Want To Be Free”. In 1986 she married guitarist Robert Fripp, to whom she still shares one of showbusiness’s most stable marriages.

Over the years Toyah has become a regular on daytime TV, as both a presenter and panellist on various gameshows. She is also a popular name on Reality TV Shows. Through a very respectable career that is still going strong, Toyah has released 30 albums, and has had 8 UK Top 40 singles.
