Rozalla’s music career began in the 1980’s in Zimbabwe, the country she had moved to from her birth country Zambia. Her singles were successful, but it wasn’t until production duo Nigel Swanston and Tim Cox, known as Band of Gypsies, brought her to London that she achieved real success.

‘Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)’ reached No.6 in the UK singles chart in 1991. The track was a huge hit internationally, making Top 10’s all over the world. This was followed by more hits such as ‘Faith (In The Power of Love)’ and ‘Are You Ready To Fly’ all taken from Rozalla debut album. It was at this time that Rozalla toured with Michael Jackson, opening every performance on his Dangerous Tour.

After Several years, Rozalla recorded the theme song to the Al Pacino film ‘Carlito’s Way’. The track ‘I Love Music’ , was written especially for her, and secured another Top 20 hit.

Recent years have seen Rozalla turning her hand to a more mellow jazz/soul sound, releasing an album of jazz-influenced remakes and performing at iconic venues such as The Jazz Cafe. There have also been several new remixes of ‘Everybody’s Free’, opening up Rozalla’s music to a whole new generation.... meaning she is in constant demand as a live P.A.
