Gina G’s music career began back in 1990, as a DJ in Melbourne. However, her profile began to grow in 1992 as lead singer of the Australian dance group Bass Culture, who scored a Top 20 hit with “Love the Life”. She left the act in 1993 to pursue a solo career in the United Kingdom.

It was here that she became an overnight sensation when she won A Song for Europe to become the UK’s entry in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest. Although she only came eighth with her song “Ooh Aah...Just a Little Bit” the song went to No.1 in the UK charts.

It also had continued success across the world, peaking at No.12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (one of the highest positions any song from Eurovision has charted in the States). “Ooh Aah” was followed by another UK Top 10 hit “I Belong to You”, which was taken from her debut album ‘Fresh’ which also spawned the hit singles “Fresh”, “Ti Amo” and “Gimme Some Love”.Now running her own studios in LA, Gina is still recording, and her second album ‘Get Up and Dance’ was released in 2009 to much acclaim on the dance scene.
